With nearly 10 years of experience working on industry-leading brands in the beverage, consumer packaged goods, and luxury retail space, Courtney brings a wealth of digital knowledge and expertise to Silver Falcon Capital’s portfolio companies.
Courtney grew up in the hospitality industry and spent her weekends and summers working in her family’s hotel and restaurant in Laurinburg, N.C. She began her professional career leading social media for a beverage importer in Charleston, S.C., establishing and growing the social presence for brands like Weihenstephan, Birra Moretti, and Old Speckled Hen. She moved to New York City in 2014 and joined digital agency Deep Focus (a part of The Engine Group) where she spearheaded social media strategy for I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter! and Country Crock. In 2015, she relocated to Charlotte, N.C., with her husband and joined the team at Taylor, a strategic PR and digital agency, where she developed and managed a national influencer network for several DIAGEO brands, including Captain Morgan and Smirnoff. Most recently, Courtney spent three and a half years leading digital and social media strategy at Diamonds Direct, a luxury jewelry retailer with nearly 20 stores nationally and an evolving e-commerce presence.
Courtney holds a B.S. in Business Administration from the Kenan-Flagler Business School at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, as well as a Master of Mass Communication with a concentration in Integrated Marketing Communications from the University of South Carolina in Columbia. She resides in Charlotte, North Carolina with her husband, young son, and Yorkie. In her spare time, you can find her cheering on the Tar Heels, chasing birdies on the golf course, or whipping up a Pinterest-worthy meal.
